pflag santa fe chapter
PFLAG Santa Fe was founded in 1992 and became a chartered chapter in 1996. We currently have over 100 members and excess of 200 nonmember supporters in the community and surrounding areas. The Chapter is operated by dedicated volunteer board members who experience to PFLAG Santa Fe.
The Chapter strives to reach out to the community and address LGBTQ needs with other organizations. The Chapter's accomplishments for 2005 were great and we have identified work in the following areas:
- New Mexico Gay Straight Alliance (NMGSA), PFLAG Santa Fe is a collaborative partner working in areas of safe schools and teen suicide.
- Annual Scholarships Awards to further the education of LGBT people in New Mexico.
- Participation in Santa Fe June Pride celebration on the Plaza.
- Help in responding to the LGBT needs of the community as they may arise.
- Any donation to the Chapter helps us achieve the our work -- donations and volunteer work helps to serve our community.
